How It WorksThe Austin Air Healthmate air purifier uses a three-stage filtration process to help capture particles, odors, chemicals and smoke. Air first passes through a pre-filter designed to capture large particles. This pre-filter should be cleaned once a month, depending on use and environment. After the bigger particles are removed, the air passes through fifteen pounds of a carbon-zeolite mix to remove odors and chemicals.
